350 kuollutta ja 1200 haavoittunutta ihmistä, raunioita kaikkialla, täysiä sairaaloita ilman lääkkeitä, ilman siteitä, ilman sähköä, ilman ruokaa. Julkiset rakennukset; Gazan satama, yliopisto, yksi moskeija ja monet koulut ovat maan tasalla hetkellä, jolloin sionismin murhaajat ilmoittavat kyynisesti, että tämä on vasta alkua. Parasta aikaa pansarivaunut ryhmittäytyvät Gazan rajalla, valmiina maahyökkäykseen. Toimittajilta Gazaan pääsy on kielletty.

Koko historiallinen maisema on muuttunut. Viime vuonna räjähtänyt kapitalismin kriisi, joka kärjistyi syys-lokakuussa 2008, on saanut ennalta arvaamattomat mittasuhteet ja uhkaa romahduttaa maailman pörssimarkkinat, kansainvälisen pankkitoiminnan, teollisuusjätit, sekä ajaa lukuisia valtioita konkurssin partaalle.
Maailmanlaajuinen romahdus on jo tapahtunut. Pörssien pääomitus on puolittunut, tappiot ovat nyt lähes 3000 miljardia dollaria velassa mitattuna ja velkaantuminen jatkuu väistämättä; läntisen maailman pankkijärjestelmä on lähes hajoamassa (Financial Times 28/10/08), huolimatta ennenäkemättömistä valtioiden väliintuloista.

1. The entire world historic landscape has changed. The exacerbation in September-October 2008 of the world capitalist crisis that exploded last year takes unprecedented dimensions driving to collapse the world stock markets, the international banking system, gigantic industries and a growing number of States on the edge of default.
The global crash has already taken place. The capitalization of world stock markets has halved; losses on debt instruments now amount nearly $3 trillion, and debt destruction inexorably continues; there is a “near-disintegration of the western world’s banking system” (Financial Times, 28/10/08) despite unprecedented State interventions. Mitään peruspalveluita eikä muutenkaan kunnallisia toimintoja ei voida ajatella ilman että niiden taloudelliset edellytykset olisi kunnossa. Globalisoidussa maailmassa kaikki vaikuttaa kaikkeen ja näin ollen, se mikä tapahtuu muissa kapitalismin metropoleissa heijastuu kauttaaltaan myös Suomen kansantalouteen.Pääoman metropolien, keskuspankkien ja rahalaitosten yllä leijuu haamu, joka levittää paniikkia ja pelkoa porvarihallitusten ja niiden byrokraattisten mekanismien pariin. 1. The five days war in Caucasus between the Georgian pro-imperialist Saakashvili regime and Russia has not solely a major regional and local importance but world significance.
There are obviously local and regional reasons that cannot be ignored: Georgia’s drive for a forced annexation of Abhazia and South Ossetia, de facto and willingly independent from 1992; the many centuries on-going conflict between Georgian nationalism and Great Russian chauvinism. But all these national problems have to be put in their actual historical context. Today’s international dimension overshadows and determines the other factors. The recent war in Caucasus is the latest -but not last- violent convulsion following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, one more link in the bloody series of imperialist wars in the post Cold War world, from Yugoslavia to Afghanistan and Iraq. The re-integration of the former Soviet space into world capitalism proved to be, far from a linear, peaceful process, the opening of an entire period of zigzag developments, full of sudden crises and imperialist wars, led mainly by US imperialism, to re-establish world hegemony under new historic terms.

Imperialism has nothing to boast about the “capture” of Radovan Karadzic in Belgrade, Serbia, on July 21, 2008: the Bosnian Serb nationalist leader, formerly a protégé by the late Slobodan Milosevic, was cynically given to European and American imperialism and their ‘International Court’ in Hague by the nationalists of Milosevic’s Socialist Party itself.

PORVARIHALLITUS täytti vuoden ja kerskuu omia saavutuksiaan. Todellisuudessa mahdollisuuden harjoittaa pääomalle ystävällistä ja työtätekeville ja koko kansalle taantumuksellista politiikkaa on antanut hampaaton vasemmistomme ja sen linjaton ja vaihtoehdoton politiikka. Pallo on nyt meidän köyhien käsissä.
KRIISI, joka maailmanlaajuisesti käynnistyi 90 –luvulla, synnytti Matti Vanhasen työreformiteoriat. Alussa niitä tyrmättiin mutta myöhemmin otettiin käyttöön demarien toimesta. Sitä seurannut lihavien suhdanteiden kausi ei kestänyt kauan. Nyt eletään Kiina –ilmiön lopun aikaa ja kapitalisteilla on kiire saada lävitse mitä taantumuksellisempaa lainasäädäntöä työreformin viemiseksi loppuun asti. Matka kohti työelämän täydellistä mullistusta on jo alkanut.
